TEHRAN – The secretary general of the Society of Islamic Solidarity has said President Hassan Rouhani’s speech at the UN General Assembly “put America in the passive position.”

“They had nothing to say anymore which indicates the Islamic Republic of Iran’s successful foreign policy,” Mohammad Hosseini Montazer told IRNA on Monday.

Elsewhere he said Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s smiles “are signs of victory”.

He praised Rouhani and Zarif’s side meetings in New York, saying they showed “Iran’s power”.
